Body, Arm and Hand Veins
Can be quite distressing because of their appearance
Many persons as they age develop large, unsightly veins that sit just under the surface of the skin. These types of veins are not usually painful and don't lead to any complications but can be quite distressing because of their appearance.
Common locations for these veins are the backs of the hands, forearms, upper arms and body (especially over the upper chest and breasts).
Various techniques are available to eliminate these veins. Sometimes simple sclerotherapy is all that is needed. Ambulatory phlebectomy is an excellent technique if veins are particularly large, lie under thin skin or when excellent cosmetic results are needed in short periods of time.
Dr Saunders will assess the situation and formulate a plan customized to your needs.
