Royal College Certification as a surgeon means a minimum of five years of residency honing technical and problem solving skills. This is the experience at the heart of the Saunders Skin and Vein Center. Dr Saunders has assembled highly credentialed team who together can provide a safe and professional experience in addressing your concerns
Dr. Saunders
Dr Saunders is an experienced general surgeon who has treated vein disease for nearly a decade. He has a highly diversified background in medicine including a year of internal medicine in addition to a residency in surgery. He is also qualified in intensive care medicine. The past few years he has concentrated on adding the most cutting edge procedures to the clinic. The cosmetic side to the clinic initially grew out of patient request for these services. It has allowed a different kind of creativity than is usually needed in surgery to develop and is one of his favorite parts of his current practice. This is why all of the botox and filler treatments are done personally by Dr Saunders and not a nurse or technician.
Karan Forsythe
Karan Forsythe is likely the most experienced vascular technician in the country in assisting with the EVLT procedure. She acts as a trainer for Diomed in training doctors in ultrasound and in teaching staff how to properly assist the the EVLT procedure. She is a wealth of knowledge and outstanding with patients, putting them at ease in what is at times a stressful procedure for them.
Lorrie Boos
Lorrie Boos is the newest member of the team. Lorries diverse background in nursing includes assisting with endoscopic procedures, recovery room and many years as an ICU nurse. She has excellent technical skills and a manner that patients find very reassuring.
